'Shrewd' buyers look at southern Italy
Investment opportunities in southern Italy are not being ignored by
British property buyers, an expert has revealed. Gabriele
Giambrone of Italian legal firm Giambrone & Law stated that
"shrewd" investors from the UK were increasingly snapping up houses in
areas such as Calabria...
He described the region as the "new
Algarve of the Mediterranean" due to its combination of sound
investment conditions and an attractive lifestyle.
Mr Giambrone
commented: "Areas such as Calabria, Puglia and Sicily are attracting a
mixture of shrewd second home buyers and investors who recognise the
opportunities opening up in southern Italy."
A
recent poll by A Place in the Sun magazine identified Italy as a
particular favourite among British property buyers, with the country
listed in fifth place overall.
